F**k It Friday: King Bach
Celebrating the power of those two little words - "F**K IT"
Hello there friends, welcome back to F**k It Friday - a weekly feature from MTV Breaks that’s all about saying a big “f**k yeah” to the most excellent people who’ve said “f**k it” (probably) and taken a leap of faith to make big things happen.
Cos it’s not about just having ideas – it’s about believing in yourself, and making them happen. AMIRIGHT?
So who’s next up in the FIF roll call of honour, drumroll…It’s the undisputed King of Vine, King Bach!
Andrew Bachelor, a.k.a. King Bach basically has us in stiches on a daily basis, us and his other 15.3 million followers. With over 5 BILLION loops, he’s really not doing too badly now is he. Once upon a time though, Bach was just a regular, albeit hilarious, guy studying film at the New York Film Academy.
Never one to hold back though, Bach was chomping at the bit to just get out there. He said, “It was too repetitive for me, and I was tired of waiting and wanted to get out and do things”, so said “f**k it” (probably), dropped out and moved to Hollywood, where the action is, to begin taking comedy classes instead.
During his time at the Academy, Bach had noticed comedians were beginning to gain big followings on YouTube and had started to develop his own. But he was broke and maintaining YouTube content costs money. He knew he was good though, and he knew this was his dream so he said “f**k it” (probably) again and switched to a slightly riskier, but cheaper platform, Vine. At the time Vine was just beginning and it was unclear if it would really go anywhere but 15.3 million followers later, the risk looks like it paid off! Way to be the f**k-KING, Bach!
