Gay Magazine Attitude Has Made History With Their Royal New Cover Star
"You have nothing to be ashamed of.”
This is so awesome. Everyone’s favourite future king Prince William has made history as the first member of the royal family EVER to be photographed for the cover of a gay magazine.
Back in May, Wills invited Attitude mag to bring a group of LGBT+ people to Kensington Palace so that he could hear more about their lives and the bullying they have had to endure simply because of their sexuality and gender.
He’s now appearing in Attitude to help show support for the LGBT+ community, and speak out about how this discrimination can have a huge impact on mental health.
He told the mag, “No one should be bullied for their sexuality or any other reason.”
“No one should have to put up with the kind of hate that these young people have endured in their lives. The young gay, lesbian and transgender individuals I met through Attitude are truly brave to speak out and to give hope to people who are going through terrible bullying right now”.
The Prince also sent a message of encouragement to anyone reading his article who’s being bullied for their sexuality, saying, “don’t put up with it – speak to a trusted adult, a friend, a teacher…and get the help you need.”
“You should be proud of the person you are and you have nothing to be ashamed of.”
