Epic Facebook Prankster Fools People Into Reposting Pic Of A Dog With Ham On His Face
Pranksters claimed the pooch had severe burns to the face.
We've all got those people on Facebook who love to repost a tragic story, but we're guessing they might investigate these tales a little more closely after hundreds fell for an internet prank involving a dog with a piece of ham laid across his face.
It all started when a man called Stephen Roseman posted a seemingly innocent snap of a dog. Claiming the pooch had been 'badly burned and disfigured trying to save his family from a house fire', he asked people to like and share to help keep the dog in their prayers.
But before you start feeling too sorry for the pup in question, we should probably mention that he was totally fine and was actually just pictured with a slice of ham resting on his noggin'.
This might seem fairly obvious from a look at the pic, but not everyone noticed and soon the likes and comments of support came flooding in to the extent that the post now has over 100,000 shares. While we're not sure whether this was just people playing along or if people actually believed the prank, it's still split the commenters right down the middle, with some finding it hilarious and others not quite seeing the joke.
First we have those who were genuinely concerned.
Some who just seemed confused.
Others were happy to get on board with the praying.
While others were just there because they just wanted to talk about their passion for lunch meat.
Some just really aren't into jokes involving dogs and ham:
But really it's all about the responses to people showing their support:
All we can say is #PrayForHamDog. Hope he got a whole packet of ham-based treats as a reward for being so patient during his meaty photoshoot.
