It’s Time To Say ‘NO MORE’ To Domestic Abuse And Sexual Assault

Enough is enough.

In the UK alone, more than 1 million women are affected by domestic abuse each year, while almost 1 million children are affected either through directly experiencing it or being a witness to it. Hestia, a charity who work with adults and children in crisis, see this as a public health crisis of epidemic proportions and are campaigning to say NO MORE.

The UK SAYS NO MORE campaign launched today and with support from a whole bunch of celebs such as Jamal Edwards and Andy Serkis aims to raise awareness about, and bring an end to domestic violence and sexual assault across the United Kingdom.

The campaign works on the basis that putting a stop to domestic abuse and sexual assault is everyone’s responsibility, and we couldn’t agree more. For too long have excuses been made for silence and inaction around domestic abuse and sexual assault and it’s time to create dialogue and awareness and engage bystanders to take positive action.

Sexual and domestic abuse doesn’t discriminate – it affects women, men and all backgrounds or races, so we shouldn’t either. NO MORE is about all of us taking responsibility and playing our part in putting an end to abuse, wherever we may find it. The first step to doing that is in creating conversation and that’s what the campaign is all about. So check it out below and let’s say NO MORE, together.
