Jennifer Lawrence Chanted For Women’s Rights At A Pre-Oscar Party
Jennifer Lawrence has never exactly been quiet on the subject of Hollywood’s gender pay-gap, but in a surprise appearance at a pre-Oscar party she started an actual rallying chant in support of women everywhere.
At the Ninth Annual Women in Film Pre-Oscar Party J-Law turned up and casually gave an awesome, empowering speech. Following Patricia Arquette, who gave a speech about her change.org/era petition to Equal Rights Amendment, Lawrence took to the stand:
"I'm a huge fan of Patricia Arquette,"ET reported her saying, "I actually played the younger version of her [on the crime show Medium]. I love that she stood up, for starting a conversation. We're getting dialogue going. I'm going to go home, and I'm going to go to change.org/era ... I'm going to that. Let's all do it."
She then ended by chanting “Equal pay, woo!”, because she’s Jennifer Lawrence and of course she did that.
So she may not have won Best Actress last night despite being nominated but Jennifer Lawrence continues to win at life, always.
