John Lewis Apologised To The Real Life John Lewis For Christmas Advert Confusion In The Most Festive Way
They sent him a festive goodie bag and we want it.
You might know John Lewis best as the department store your parents dragged you around as a kid that you now quite like visiting to gaze at the rose gold homeware. But John Lewis is also an American man who spends every year receiving thousands and thousands of tweets about the brand's annual Christmas advert.
This is all because he has the '@JohnLewis' handle as his username on Twitter, but instead of getting annoyed about the annual tweet storm he faces when the ad is unleashed, he is unflinchingly polite and always responds (quite hilariously) to people pointing them in the direction of the account they mean, '@JohnLewisRetail.'
Clearly John Lewis the shop have been paying attention to John's good work and have now sent him a little treat to make up for the annual confusion involving their names.
Taking to Twitter, John the human man shared a photo of some goodies they had shipped over to the US for him.
Included in the parcel were some familiar faces from their past adverts and also a fairly amazing cushion with his Twitter handle embroidered on the front.
How cute is that?
Now someone re-name us John Lewis already as we wouldn't say no to a sack full of freebies either.
