Popular Instagram Photographer Dies During New York Subway Stunt
Fans have been paying tribute on his Instagram.
Popular Instagram photographer Christopher Serrano has tragically died after attempting to subway surf in Brooklyn, according to reports.
Christopher was known and loved for his truly magical and breathtaking photos of New York and Brooklyn (amongst other landscapes), often taking risks by climbing buildings to get the unforgettable shots.
According to The New York Post, Christopher was riding the F train with a friend in Brooklyn on Wednesday 5th October when he was killed in the tragic accident.
Sources claim that he went between two of the cars and began scaling the outside of the train at around 5am.
Investigators believe he may have been clipped by or collided with something near the entrance to the Fourth Avenue/9th Street station in Gowanus, causing him to fall. His body was found by police.
His brother Ryan has paid tribute on Instagram, writing: “I wish I had taken more photos of you. I lost my brother today. My first best friend. I'll never forget our adventures.
“This house will never be the same without you. I love you, brother. Thank you everyone for your kind words. I really appreciate all the support. If anyone has any old photos or videos of my brother please contact me.”
Fans and followers of his work have been posting their condolences on his Instagram, thanking him for being an inspiration and an astonishing talent.
