SNL's Pete Davidson Talks Dating With Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
Ariana Grande's rumoured new bae hit back at insensitive comments about his mental illness.
We can't help but low-key ship the rumoured new relationship between Saturday Night Live star and Ariana Grande (who btw have been getting their emoji-flirt on recently).
However, whether or not they are actually a thing, it seems talk of them getting together has invited some pretty insensitive comments about borderline personality disorder, which Pete was diagnosed with in 2016.
Take a look at the video to see Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes and a bunch of other celebs who got real af about living with a mental health illness...
The SNL star first opened up about his struggle with the mental health illness in October 2017, admitting that year was a "f*cking nightmare," but after seeking the correct treatment he says his life has completely changed for the better.
Which is exactly why he's written a massive 'FU' to anyone who is claiming BPD sufferers can't have normal, healthy relationships.
Taking to Instagram Stories on Thursday night, he began: "Normally I wouldn’t comment on something like this cause fuck you. But I been hearing a lot of ‘people with bpd can’t be in relationships’ talk. I just wanna let you know that’s not true."
"Just because someone has a mental illness does not mean they can’t be happy and in a relationship. It also doesn’t mean that person makes the relationship toxic. Everybody is different and there are a lot of treatments for mental illnesses and I have done/am doing all of them … I just think it’s fucked up to stigmatize people as crazy and say that they are unable to do stuff that anyone can do," he continued.

Well said, Pete is absolutely right that having a mental illness doesn't mean you can't have a healthy relationship.
