In news that’s making us feel very hungry, very happy and (already) very broke,Starbucks have confirmed that they've beentesting out a brand new weekend brunch menu.

And, in the least surprisingreaction news of all time, we are 100 per cent HERE. FOR. IT.

Because WAFFLES:

Or at least we would be, if there was properconfirmation that it would be gracing the Starbucks of the UK soon. But that’s besides the point.

Starbucks Melody was the first to report on the chain’s new brunch of dreams, revealing that the new menu is currently offeringBelgian waffles with blueberries, quiche with cage-free eggs, and baked French toast.

A big, delicious and seriously exciting step-up from the current breakfast options, we’re sure you’ll agree (partlybecause it’s just going to give us more of an excuse spend our weekends sitting down and eating lots of brunch food whilst drinking our body weight inpumpkin spice lattes).

A representative for Starbucks confirmed the trial to the blog, saying that they were testing the options in 78 stores in the Portland and Seattle areas, with the new items available from 8am to 2pm at the weekend.

The test began mid-August and currently has no end date, with Starbucks Melody explaining that this isn't the first time the company has tested a brunch menu.

Sadly, since no-one's invented a time machine to see into the future yet, we're going to have to wait with baited breath and crossed fingers to see if this makes it over to the UK.

Which means for now, we'll just have to settle for drooling over these Instagram images of the menu in themorning whilst eating our supermarket own-brand coco pops.
