Just some news to make your 2016 suck a little less - Apple’s new iOS 10.2 update is introducing over a HUNDRED new emojis, including food, animals, expressions, sports and people.

As well as fixing a whole load of issues you may have had with your device (like your iPhone 7 camera annoyingly getting stuck in zoom), the update means almost every single one of the original emojis has been redesigned whilst insanely cool new emoji have been added. Hurrah!

They’ve introduced bacon strips, a croissant, a face palm, a shark, a firefighter, you name it.

There’s also (FINALLY) an avocado emoji for all you health freaks out there (whilst some may argue that the new gorilla emoji means Harambe lives on in the emoji world).

The update is now available for iPhone 5 or later, iPad 4th generation and later as well as iPod touch 6th generation and later. The new emojis are also available on Apple Watch and Mac computers.

The recent iOS 10 update offered predictions for emojis as users type messages and now the iOS.2 update will allow users to ‘emojify' a message which will make the emoji appear three times bigger within a text.

As well as all this emoji excitement, you can choose exactly how to sort playlists, albums and songs in your Music Library.

Finally, if your mobile contract is from EE the update brings snazzy 4G calling to your iPhone.

It's being rolled out in beta now so all you have to do to get in line for all of this is to update your software ASAP! Go, go, go!
