There's Now A Dating App For Pokémon Go Players
The act of trying to find another human who can put up with your morning breath and theway you sometimes irrationally go into a full rage spiral over the way they chew their food can be tricky, but the world of dating no longer has to be a soulless and terrifying place thanks to a brand new Pokémon Go themed dating app.
The logic behind thisseems to be that if you're a pro trainer, there's no reason you shouldn't also be able touse a Flail, a Growland maybe the odd Fire Fang to get yourself adate. And y'know, if all that fails you could evenchuck one of yourPokéBallsin the face of a potential love interest to try and win their affections.
That sounded a bit dirtier than we'd intended. Soz.
ANYWAY, before you get ready to put a lure on anyone's heart, we should probably explain that this isn't based within Pokémon Go itself, but is a separate dating service created specifically to match you with another trainer.
To sign up, you need a Project Fixup account and then you can access the matching service, which is called PokéDates.
You then fill in a questionnairebased on a load of Pokémon-basedcriteria and your training prefs, and then get matched with someone with similar interests. We haven't seen the fabled questionnaire, but if were in charge it would 100% involve questions such aswhether you want someone to Slowpoke your Cloyster orwould prefer a fellow trainer to show your masterballs to.
Your firstPokéDate is free, but after that it costs $20 a go unless you recommend friends, which earns you free date credits.
So welcome to 2016 everybody. This is all our lives now.
Still, quite proud we managed to get through this without making any inappropriatejokes about always wearing adequate Poké-ingprotection so you don't catch 'em all.
Well, at leastwe tried.
