These Celebs Totally Have Each Other's Backs

GOALS

Whether it’s Taylor and Kendall, Nikki and Miley or Katie Hopkins and literally everyone, the celebrity world can be a tough place where shade is thrown willy-nilly and huge public beefs are an everyday occurrence.

Fortunately, there are plenty of celebs out there who aren’t afraid to leap to the aid their famous pals.

Taylor Swift & Emma Watson

Obviously Tay-Tay is mates with literally everyone, but that doesn’t stop her from having all of their backs. Back in 2014 when Emma Watson gave her awesome HeForShe speech at the UN, she met with a fair bit of criticism on social media (we don’t understand how this is possible, but it happened). Taylor Swift spoke out in her defence though saying “I wish when I was 12 years old I would’ve been able to watch a video of my favourite actress explaining in such an intellectual, beautiful, poignant way the definition of feminism because I would’ve understood it, and then earlier on in my life I would have proudly claimed that I was a feminist because I would have understood what the word means.”

Lorde & Taylor Swift

Even though Swifty has everyone’s back, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t need someone to have hers once in a while. When Diplo tweeted something nasty about Taylor in 2014 that we won’t repeat because YOU DO NOT SPEAK ILL OF TAYLOR SWIFT, Lorde was quick to retaliate – mocking a particularly small part of Diplo’s anatomy… you get it, it was funny.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini & Kim Kardashian

While pregnant with Saint, Kim Kardashian fell victim to body shaming in both the press and on social media. Even though Kim obviously took it in her stride, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini sent her this lovely and spot-on message: “Hi Gorgeous lady! Just wanted to send you a tweet to say I think you are an incredibly beautiful woman inside and out.. I can only imagine how tough it is to be heavily pregnant and feeling extremely vulnerable on top of some of the daily criticism you take! I admire your tenacity and send you my best wishes with the rest of your pregnancy #enjoyyourblessing xy”

Kanye West & Taylor Swift

KanTaygot off to a rocky start what with the infamous interruption and all. But Tay-Ye have since made up, hugged it out and Kanye has spoken out about how much he respects Swifty (as well he should). He even sent her some of the flowers from his wedding; these two totally have each other’s backs now.

Vince Vaughn & Robert Pattinson

An unlikely pairing but these two are actually bessies and regularly go out partying together. When Kristen Stewart admitted she had cheated on R-Patz(remember that?) Vince reportedly offered him a shoulder to cry on and dished out some helpful advice on what to do next, what a pair of cuties.

Ruby Rose & Jennifer Lawrence

J-Law faced a bit of an online backlash when she described her style as “slutty power lesbian” in her Glamour cover feature. Orange Is The New Black star and general all round babe Ruby Rose has was having none of it though, and leapt to Jen’s defence in an interview with The Cut. “Lawrence is an amazing actress and an amazing advocate for women and women’s empowerment and the wage gap in Hollywood and so many amazing things.” She said, going on that “I think that is an easy quote to misinterpret or to pick apart. But I know that she has an amazing sense of humor, and for her to say that, I know that would never come from a bad place."

Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber

Before it was universally agreed that Biebs is as great as we’ve always know he is, he got a lot of stick…a lot. Back in his slightly wild, controversial days Ariana Grande agreed that he wasn’t such a bad guy… “He can do whatever he wants. He's doing the same thing as every other boy in the world right now. He's just under a microscope and he's being scrutinized by people who don't know him. I know him and he's a good person”. Also there's the above video, which is obviously amazing.

TLC & Katy Perry

Yes you read that right, turns out Katy Perry is a massive TLC fan (aren’t we all!?). When TLC launched a Kickstarter campaign last year to fund their farewell album Katy Perry donated $5,000 within just days of its launch getting them well on their way to their $150,000 goal…which they obviously smashed.
