This Guy Graded His Ex-Girlfriend's Apology Letter And Returned It To Her
This man graded his ex-girlfriend's apology letter and it's brilliant.
If you've been blocked on every social-media platform imaginable, the only way to get in touch with a pissed-off ex is to either a) show up on their doorstep until they agree to talk to you, or b) write them a long, detailed letter about your biggest regrets.
Deciding that the second option was the best way to get her message across, the ex-girlfriend of a man called Nick Lutz was in for a bit of a shock when he returned her letter with a bunch of corrections and a final, damning grade.
Calling his ex out on the fundamental mistake of not knowing her own argument, Nick took a red pen to the letter to urge his ex to at least get her story straight on whether she'd cheated on him or not.
In the style of the most unforgiving teacher in school, he then slammed the introduction for being too lengthy, called her out on skipping over important details, and corrected her basic spelling mistakes.
Just to add a final dash of pettiness, he then graded the paper a 'D', before pointing out that she butchered her own defense by contradicting herself.
He wrote: "Long intro, short conclusion, short hypothesis but nothing to back it up. Details are important. If you want to be believed, back it up with proof. You claim that cheating never occurred but place blame on yourself — then what for?
Nick added: "Need to stop contradicting your own story and pick a side. While this gesture is appreciated I would prefer details over statements. Revision for half credit will be accepted."
It might have been a completely savage move, but Nick later shared on Twitter that his ex is "okay with her grade", even though she's probably not thrilled about the fact 100,000 people have RT'd her letter.
Meanwhile, the people of the internet had a lot to say about the letter, with many pointing out Nick was lenient on the grading scale, and others adding his ex didn't quite get the 'D' she was looking for.
That is one ice-cold serving of revenge.
