This Is What It's Really Like To Get A Psychic Reading From The Kardashians' Medium
Spoiler: MIND BLOWING
So let me preface this by saying I did already believe in this kinda stuff. I wasn’t fully fledged conjuring spirits on a Ouija board, but I definitely wasn’t closed off to the possibility that your soul (or whatever you want to call it) can continue long after your body is gone.
Hollywood's go-to medium, 21-year old Tyler Henry has read for countless famous people. We were first introduced to him when he appeared on Keeping Up With The Kardashians as he helped Khloe locate any spirits in her home. He came back to do a reading with Kris Jenner on his very own show Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry, and more recently Kylie Jenner.

When I was given the chance to meet him I was too excited. I mean, regular people don't get to swan in and ask him for a reading. But being total downers, my parents, who are both doctors and therefore ride or mother-effing die for science and my boyf laughed me in my actual face.
Cut to that tiny part of my rational brain asking me…am I being a total muppet believing that this stuff could be real? We do live in a time where our whole lives are so easily searchable on the internet.
So I decided to listen to my sister instead who was practically wetting herself with excitement at the thought of a reading, and I went with an open mind, being prepared to look for clues that this was a bunch of ‘rubbish’. Dad's words, not mine.
As I met him in a hotel in London, I was chuffed to find that he was just a sweet and adorable IRL. Seriously, If you've watched the show you'll no doubt just want to hang with him, watch Netflix and eat Mcdonald's.
We started the reading with Tyler telling me that John and Mary were trying to contact me. BOOM we were straight in, no faffing around here. My Dad’s father (Papa) and my Mum’s mother (Granny) were with us. The sap in me was overwhelmed at my beloved grandparents being present but the sceptic in me thought, ‘surely research could find those names on a family tree website?’
But as the reading progressed Tyler started to say things that you can’t quite find on the internet. He told me Papa had a message for my brother, William, who tbh is pretty private/lazy online. ‘Well done, for following your own path’, Tyler told me, explaining that apparently William felt like the underdog in the family but having totally changed his career and location, was doing what he finally enjoyed.
Real talk, William began pilot training in January after starting a career in environmental science and moved from London to Arizona, USA.
Next Tyler told me my Granny had a message for my Mum – she was to let go of her death and know she was at peace. And I hear what you’re saying – that’s a pretty generic message. But out of both my parents and all of my grandparents, that’s the one message that would make total sense. My Granny died first and my mum still gets pretty emosh whenever she’s mentioned, 14 years later.
To be honest, there were many things that Tyler read that you could say would apply to most people and it’s all guess work. But honestly, if he is guessing then he was right 95% of the time and that is a SILLY high success rate.
Like that my Grandma had come to one of us in a dream (me) and that they were saying Happy Birthday so someone (my sister).
I won’t bore you about the rest of the reading because it's not your family so you don’t care but if you need a bit more convincing of Tyler and his gift then this may help.
As I was saying bye to him and the cameras were off, he turned to me and said, “Oh, if you start having stomach problems you have to get it checked out.” I replied: “I’ve got an appointment tomorrow.” Even the PR from hayu, Caroline, gasped audibly.
So what did my parents think? Mostly that it was rubbish and he was great at guessing.
Until I asked them who Anne was. Tyler had kept insisting that my Grandma was telling them that she was with Anne, over and over. So much so throughout that I had felt quite awkward (was I the worst family member ever? Probs).
I had replied that my dad had a cousin called Anne but she was alive (DEAR GOD I HOPED). My dad turned to my mum and said ‘That’s my mum’s mum'. And the look that they exchanged said it all.
Not that they’d ever admit it.
