This Is Why Everyone's Really Angry At Tampax's New Tampons Right Now
For reasons we'll never quite understand, Tampax decided to change one of their most popular products last year. And unfortunately, it was for the worst.
Yep, their Tampax Compak was replaced with the new Pocket Pearl, which while is expandable just like it's predecessor, this time it came with an altered applicator.
And though the brand claims it's all for the no-leak cause, customers are claiming it actually causes more leakage than ever, as well as sparking a whole load of other issues.
If you scroll through the Amazon reviews of the product, 74% of consumers gave the Pocket Pearl one lonely star, while out of all 58 reviews it reached just 1.7 stars.
One user in particular took to Facebook to air her frustrations, writing:
"The tampon just gets stuck in the applicator opening and there's nothing I can do about it because I can't push the applicator stick any further. It's maddening!" the reviewer wrote.
"I feel like I'm throwing away money. This is the first and last time I will be buying this brand," she added.
While Tampax replied, telling Trish:
"We appreciate your feedback and I'm sharing your comments with our design team, who are continuously looking at ways to improve our products," a statement reads.
