Zoella Reveals Her Struggle With Anxiety: "When It's Bad I Can't Leave My Bed"
The star has opened up...
YouTube vlogging sensation Zoella has revealed just because she's quickly become quite the celebrity, doesn't mean her anxiety has gone away.
Speaking to Glamour magazine in aid of Mental Health Awareness Week, Zoe Sugg has admitted that she still gets panic attacks which are sometimes so bad she can't even get out of bed.
"I go through phases where my anxiety isn't as bad and when it's pretty awful,” said Zoe, who’s a Digital Ambassador for mental health charity, Mind.
“When it's bad, I can't even leave my bed or I'll start my day off by opening my eyes and having a panic attack.”
The 25-year-old went on to admit she felt it only right to share her experience on her channel, in the hope that she might help others.
"Growing up, I didn't really know anybody else that felt the same as me and when my YouTube channel started to grow and I had this huge audience, I decided to talk about it and use my platform to share experiences and to reassure people they weren't alone."
Adding: "It was a scary thing to do, but also one of the best decisions I've ever made. It makes me so happy that I am able to help people on a daily basis because of being open about it."
