Lil Wayne 'Being Held Prisoner' By Cash Money As They Refuse To Drop Album

The rapper isn't happy with Birdman and his label as there is still no sign of his new record...

Are you ready for a whole load of drama? Well Lil Wayne wants off his record label Cash Money after they have refused to release his new album.

In a series of tweets yesterday (December 4) Wayne let rip and was honest with his fans, after Tha Carter V has had very little promo in the lead up to it's supposed release date of December 9.

To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it.

This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation.

It's not known why the label are holding off on dropping the record, but we're sure Lil Wayne will get the music to his fans one way or another.
