Lil Wayne has confirmed that his new album Tha Carter V will be his last.

During an interview with MTV News US, Weezy revealed that following the release of his LP on May 5, he plans to retire his solo career.

The Love Me rapper said: "25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this. I didn't smile when I said it," Wayne pointed out to prove just how serious he is.

"I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it's definitely the final Carter album. It's the final Carter album. It's stopping at five."

However, Wayne went on to add that he won't fully hang up his mic, as he'll still treat fans to guest features, especially when it comes to his YMCMB family.

"I plan on it being my final solo album," he said. "Whenever I have to pitch in for a Young Money album, a Like Father, Like Son album and something like that and maybe something out the blue.

Despite announcing his retirement, the rapper also released Young Money: Rise of An Empire in the States, a compilation album that shows off the talents of his expansive roster with contributions from artists like Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga as well as newcomers Euro, PJ Morton and Chanel West Coast.
