Lil Wayne, Drake Album “Definitely” Happening
And it will be better than Watch The Throne, their label boss promises…
A collaborative album between Lil Wayneand Drake is a certainty, Jay-Z and Kanye West, whose Watch The Throne album was released on 8 August, by claiming they are past their best. “It's older versus younger. I listened to a few songs [from Watch the Throne] and it feels like an older feel to me," he claimed.
“With Drake and Wayne, they young, they young cats. You got 23 and 28. Then you got Jay-Z and them, who are older and really on their way out the game,” Birdman continued. “Then you got Wayne and Drake and them, who are still youthful to the game. So it's two different types of music all the way across the board.”
But he wasn’t too big to praise Watch The Throne, which is on course to top charts worldwide. "What they're doing is great. I think it's great for the game, great for the business, great for retail as a whole. I just think when Wayne and Drake get together, [it's] going to be something real special also because we more youthful."
But first, the pair have their solo efforts to concentrate on – the long-awaited Tha Carter IV is out at the end of August, followed by Drake’s newie, Take Care, in October.
