Lil’ Wayne Goes Country!

Weezy joins Kid Rock onstage at the Country Music Awards, and Eagles perform

Lil Wayne became the first rapper ever to appear at the Country Music Awards in Nashville last night (Weds 13 Nov).

Weezy joined Kid Rock onstage at country musics biggest night as he performed All Summer Long, but instead of dropping some verses he strummed a guitar instead.

Mr Carter and the Kid, who had previously appeared onstage together at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards in September, both wore Tennessee Titans jerseys in tribute to the CMAs Nashville setting.

Also appearing at the CMAs were a reformed Eagles, who returned to their country rock roots with a crowd-pleasing performance of Busy Being Fabulous, but missed out on the Vocal Group Of The Year award which instead went to Rascal Flats.

A further highpoint of the awards featured another unusual pairing, as the winner of the Entertainer Of The Year award Kenny Chesney was joined onstage by The Wailers for a performance of their joint hit Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven and Bob Marleys Three Little Birds.
