Lil Wayne Involved In Skateboarding Accident
Lil Wayne has received nine stitches after being involved in a skateboarding accident.
The 6 Foot, 7 Foot rapper is said to be recovering after falling over and cutting his head at a skate park in St. Louis.
According to the Daily Mail, Weezy was taken to DePaul Health Centre's Emergency Room, where he was accompanied by his large entourage.
After being treated, the 28-year old rap icon took to Twitter to tell his followers about the accident, claiming: "The Lou was good but I busted my head at the sk8park! 9stitches! Gnarly gash over my left eye! Luv the people."
Wayne's fans then began to bombard his account with well wishes, with the Young Money CEO later tweeting: "Thx to u all for the concern but pls know that I will eventually take even harder falls if I wanna get better...and I will."
As well as his skateboard mishap, the Lollipop hitmaker has announced his eagerly anticipated album, Tha Carter IV, will be available after his performance at the 2011 MTV VMAs this Sunday, 28th August.
Weezy confirmed he will drop the LP at midnight after the ceremony, saying in a statement: "I am extremely excited to be the first artist to utilize such an amazing idea. I hope that I can open the door for others,"
