Lil Wayne New Album And Movie

Weezys latest offerings focus on his hometown

Lil Wayne is readying his next album Tha Carter III and is starring in a movie called Hurricane Season with Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker and rapper/ actor Bow Wow.

Both projects relate to his hometown of New Orleans. Lil Wayne told MTV News in the US that whilst hes enjoying his movie making experience, he wont be hanging up his mic anytime soon "If it comes around, it's cool I'm not going to be trying out for no roles. I'm not going to be at castings."

Weezy explained that a lot of his interest in the project stems from the fact that its set in New Orleans just after the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina. Wayne then went on to talk about his commentary on New Orleans in the form of forthcoming track Tie My Hands.

The track features Robin Thicke and Wayne talks about the city in general "How we were before the hurricane and how we are after I'm from here, born and raised. Telling them what I think about the situation. The way this movie ties into it is that I think the song is positive and gives motivation."
