Lil Wayne Phones MTV From Prison

He’s interviewed down the phone…

Lil Wayne was interviewed on MTV in the States last night as he called new show The Seven from his prison cell!

The rapper phoned our host Kevin Manno from Rikers Island jail, where he is serving a one year sentence for gun possession.
Weezy thanked his fans on air, admitting he gets tons of letters of support.
"I probably get 150 pieces of mail [a day], and I probably read a good 30 each day," he explained. "I get to keep [the letters], I send 'em home. If I keep 'em in the cell, they say it's a fire hazard. Honestly, I await the mail every day."
The New Orleans native also spoke about his new album I Am Not A Human Being, which is due for release next month.
Wayne said: “Making the album was totally fun, because I love recording. That's what I love to do, next to breathing, I made sure I had some material before I came in here to release while I 'was' in here.”
And signing off the interview the Lollipop star was asked what he’ll do when he’s released from prison later this year.
"[I'm going to] hug and kiss my kids," Wayne laughed. "And, uh, after that, I don't think I'm allowed to say.”
