Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter V' Is On The Way, Assures Mack Maine

After some drama over at YMCMB, Mack has set the record straight as to when we'll be hearing new music from Wayne...

Lil Wayne shocked fans when he lashed out on Twitter earlier this month, saying he wanted nothing to do with Cash Money as they 'refuse' to release his album.

Well one of the label's presidents and MCs, Mack Maine, has somewhat relieved the tension in the camp by speaking out recently about those rumours regarding Weezy's Tha Carter V.

[related]“He’s touching up the album and about to start another special project for the people,” Maine said inan interview with 99 Jamz, adding that CV is a two-part project.

“I can’t give a definitive date [for Tha Carter V]. I can just say first quarter, for sure. … It’s coming out. Don’t get it twisted like it’s not coming out.”

So what were those tweets between Lil Wayne and Cash Money all about?

“It’s just some business that’s gonna need to be handled,” he said. “Once that’s handled, we’re going to keep moving. And it’s getting handled as we speak… I feel like this matter will get resolved. Period. If I’m still around it’ll be resolved.”
