“The world is overwhelming a lot of the time and I find myself to be an anxious person,” revealed the Riverdale star to Imagista.“I get stressed out and overwhelmed so I find it therapeutic [to] write a lot of poetry. I have been doing that a lot which is very encouraging.”
And it’s not just writing poetry that helps the actress to chill out, other creative outlets do the same: “I also like to paint as well, but lately, I have been focusing more on writing. I journaled my entire life but I really got back into it in November and I noticed a lot of what I was writing was poetry.”
So find what works for you and get creative.
Khloe Kardashian hits the gym
Never underestimate the power of endorphins, Khloe K certainly doesn’t. The Kardashian sister throws on some lycra and works up a sweat if she needs some clarity.
“The gym has taken away so much of my stress,” she told Marie Claire in 2015. “It has helped calm me down. When I’m fidgety and I just feel like everything is closing in, I go to the gym. You’re building endorphins and feeling good about yourself. It’s saved me,” she says.
So take some time out to work out.
Kendall Jenner talks it out
Kendall has two ways to deal with stress: “Either listening to music or talking to my sister, Kourtney,” she revealed to Huffington Post Teen.
While we don’t all have Kourtney Kardashian’s digits in our contacts, speaking to someone you trust will always help when you need to de-stress.
Demi Lovato finds a release
Demi is big mental health advocate and her top top is... do not bottle it all up! “It’s so important to vocalise what you’re dealing with instead of internalising it and letting it manifest into unhealthy behaviour,” she has previously told Huffington Post.
She also advises finding an outlet that lets you 'release your emotions'.
“Exercising is another way I deal with anxiety. Painting, and writing music and expressing myself through art are other ways that I can release emotions. Meditation is another one. Whatever it is, it’s important to find what works for you,” she adds.
Kylie Jenner tries to get some perspective
Like big sister Kendall, Ky also puts on her headphones when life gets too much. But she also suggests trying to get some perspective on the problem.
“I put my headphones in and just sit by myself and listen or find a quiet space,” she told Huffington Post Teen.
“Every time I start to get worked up over something I just think to myself, ‘Is this really going to matter in my life tomorrow, in an hour, in a year?’ You just can't get stressed about the little things 'cause it's just not worth it at the end of the day.”
Nicely said, Miss Jenner.
Justin Bieber hangs with friends
Justin’s tried and true way to de-stress? Simply find your BFFs and get in some quality Netflix time: “[I] Watch movies and hang out with my friends,” he said when asked by a fan about how he takes time out for himself.
Adele makes jokes
Trying to see the funny side is how Adele deals when she’s stressed or anxious. The singer gets major stage fright so her way of coping is just so Adele: “I just think that nothing's ever gone horrifically wrong. Also, when I get nervous, I try to bust jokes. It does work,” she once told Rolling Stone magazine.
