Allen: "Second Album Terrifies Me"
So in the meantime she's off to the States...
Lily Allen has told MTV UK the thought of getting to work on her next album scares the hell out of her.
"I'm petrified of it," she said. "Luckily I haven't got enough time to think about while I'm promoting this album."
Don't expect the 'Littlest Things' lovely to get straight to work on a new disc in the new year either - she has more pressing plans.
"I'm going to live in Los Angeles after Christmas and then I'm going to take some time off," she said. "I've got a huge fan base in America and they're calling for me. I feel bad neglecting them!"
And after wowing Stateside fans (Lindsay Lohan and Gwen Stefani both caught Ms Allen's live gigs) with a series of intimate shows last month, the titchy trainer-loving tunestress reckons striking while the iron's hot is as good excuse as any to put a second album on the back burner.
"A couple of years ago me going over (to crack) the States would have been deemed too soon but with the power of the internet people are already listening to the music and if I don't go over there they'll download it for free!"
