Lily Allen Gives Nod To Kanye West By Calling New LP 'Sheesuz'

Star also talks new Air Balloon video and her decision to return to music during Graham Norton interview..

Lily Allen has reportedly named her new album Sheesuz - which she says is "a little nod" to rapper Kanye West.

West - whose nickname is Yeezy - released his new album Yeezus in June 2013, with Lily now revealing she's made reference to the title when selecting her own LP name.

During an interview with Graham Norton, the mother-of-two revealed: "It’s a confident title choice and a little nod to Kanye West.”

Allen - who retired from the music industry in 2009 - went on to add that she decided to return to music as she wasn't qualified to do anything else.

The mum-of-two explained: "It was just something I said on the red carpet, it felt right to say I was going to pack it in. So I was retired but then I decided to come back.

"I’d had two babies and I wanted to go back to work but realised I had no qualifications for anything except for being a pop star. So it seemed like the obvious choice!”

Speaking of her new music video for single Air Balloon - which animals rights organisation PETA criticised for the use of exotic animals - the star commented: "I signed up for it as it sounded like fun and then I am there with a cheetah thinking, ‘what am I doing?’

“I had a steak wiped on my face so that it would lick me but I had been warned not to eat steak the night before in case I burped and he might have eaten me!”

Lily also hit the headlines today (February 21) after denying Fearne Cotton's claims that she snubbed her at The Brit Awards on Wednesday.
