Lily Allen Tells Feminism Critics To "F*** Off" During Twitter Rant

Star responds after facing backlash for comments she made in a recent magazine interview...

Lily Allen has hit back in the row over her comments that feminism "shouldn't even be a thing any more"- telling her critics to "f*** off".

The Air Balloon singer took to Twitter after being criticised for remarks she made during an interview with ShortList, where she asked why there was no "man version of feminism" and insisted that "everyone is equal".

Earlier today (March 7), Lily tweeted: "Unless you're standing outside Downing Street with one of those Australian bush hats with dirty tampons in place of corks shouting 'equal rights for men and women', you've got no place telling me what kind of feminist I am or am not. F**k off."

She had earlier expressed her dismay over the timing of the backlash, writing: "Oh my, internet you really can be a real C**T sometimes. #HappyInternationalWomen'sDay."

In her ShortList article - which featured in the How To Be A Man issue - Lily also spoke critically of 'metrosexual' men, stating: "I like that when my husband gets up in the morning he spends about 12 seconds looking in the mirror and then leaves.

"I'm not into men who are vain, or even wearing aftershave. Men should be men. Go out, earn some money, come back and look after my children."
