Lily Allen has given birth to her first child - a baby girl. According to The Sun, the Smile singer and her husband Sam, welcomed "mini Cooper" last night.

It was Lily's close friend and former flame Seb Chew that let the news slip, tweeting: "sending out love to lily, sam and mini cooper...... YES (sic)."

And the singer's Corrie pal Charlie Condou later confirmed the news, tweeting: "She has indeed, a little girl."

Lily and her husband Sam Cooper will no doubt be overjoyed, particularly after losing a baby six months into last year's pregnancy.

The pair announced that they were expecting again on their wedding day in June and, after two miscarriages, Lily has been taking it easy, though she recently posted a picture of her growing bump on Twitter.

Her spokesman has yet to confirm the news.
