Lily's Got Her Dog Back!
Ms Allen's New Year couldn't have been happier when her beloved pooch trotted home...
Let's have a big 'Aw' all round - Lily Allen has found her stolen dog, Maggie May.
As we reported last week, the eight-month-old English bull terrier was swiped from Lily's mate's van on December 28 in East London, while Lily was holidaying in Jamaica.
At the time Lily posted a distraught message on her blog saying she was even more worried about Maggie's whereabouts as the pooch was due to have an operation on her tum soon.
But a week later and Ms May has turned up.
Posting on her MySpace, Lily wrote: "I have the best news ever. Maggie May is back at home safe and sound. She is riddled with fleas, a bit sad and very thin, but that's not the point.
"I can't tell you how overjoyed I am to have her back... I now know there is definitely some sense of community and goodwill left in this country, contrary to what some people might say."
The Littlest Things popstrel added, "I will elaborate on how we got her back in the near future."
We like the idea of a 101 Dalmatians-style escape from the clutches of an evil tyrant who gets their comeuppance as a result of Maggie's derring-do.
Or maybe that's just us...
