Keith Allens Brits warning, Alesha auctions her wedding dress and Mika wants a date
Lily Allens plan to snub this years Brit Awards has been scuppered - by her dad.
The pint-sized singer told The Sun she was considering missing the awards, fearing she would miss out in all four categories shes nominated in. But when dad Keith Allen heard, he apparently hit the roof.
"I really was going to stay away from the Brits because, as soon as the nominations came out, I knew that I wouldnt win anything," she told the paper. "Theres the split vote thing going on when you are nominated in all those categories, but I think Amy Winehouse will win the Best Female award and I dont think I will get anything."
She added: "Im away on tour during the week of the Brits so I thought Id just stay away for it and not be a bad loser. Its not like the end of the world if I dont win something. But when my dad found out I wasnt going, he went mad. He said it would be bad form." Sounds like someones been told.
Meanwhile it seems theres no hope of reconciliation for the lovely Alesha Dixon and her foolish love rat hubby, So Solid Crews Harvey.
The married pair split after he ran off with Eurovision loser Javine, and now Alesha is auctioning her wedding dress on eBay for 2,000, with all profits going to charity. In a statement on the site she says: Ive decided to sell this beautiful one-off dress which I designed myself. It would be a shame for it to go to waste! Good luck and I hope you enjoy.
We're sure it'll go to a good home - and were even more certain you'll find a better man, Alesha.
And finally, man-of-the-moment Mika has told the Daily Mirror that hes looking for a date this Valentines Day.
Speaking after his triumphant T-Mobile Street Gig in London, he said: "I may be getting famous now but no one wants to go out with me. In fact, no one has ever really wanted to go on a date with me."
Grab a box of tissues - it gets worse: "I've got no date for Valentines Day either - its a bit depressing to be honest." But the camp singer refused to say whether it was boys or girls he was after. Form an orderly queue here, ladies and gentlemen.
