Did Lindsay Lohan's Reality Show Get Cancelled?
The show was produced by Oprah Winfrey...
Is there any truth to reports that Lindsay Lohan’s comeback reality TV show has been “cancelled”?
Sources close to the Mean Girls star tell E! News the intention was always to do eight episodes – the last of which airs this weekend in the US – but reports are swirling that the show was cancelled.
In the series so far, Lindsay is shown to miss scheduled shoots, arrive late and cancel at the last minute. At one point Oprah Winfrey, whose network, OWN, produced the series, was forced to sit down with the star and tell her she was happy to cancel the show if Lindsay didn’t want to do it anymore.
But LiLo told Oprah she was happy to continue and promised to stick to her commitments.
While OWN confirmed back in July the series would be eight episodes, there was always the possibility of a second season. E! reports it’s now “highly unlikely” the network will return for a second outing with the star.
Lindsay recently claimed the show didn’t represent reality, saying: “It's edited very differently. Some things are taken out of context and that creates the drama and the spectacle.”
