Lindsay Lohan Faces Arrest After Fleeing Rehab

Lindsay Lohan could be arrested after she reportedly drove away from the rehab centre she was due to check into as part of her plea deal to avoid jail.

According to TMZ, the Mean Girls actress arrived at Morningside Recovery treatment centre in Newport Beach, California in an SUV yesterday morning (May 2) - but her car sped away and never returned.

LiLo has until 2pm today (May 3) to check into the clinic, otherwise prosecutors will be forced to seek an arrest warrant.

Her father Michael Lohan had previously revealed that Lindsay was "crying hysterically" on her way to Newport Beach, explaining that she wanted to carry out her 90 day term at another rehab centre in Florida.

He has since confirmed that the 27-year old has fled the Californian facility, telling Radar Online: "I have no other choice than to get this out there to help Lindsay."

Santa Monica City Prosecutor Terry White also added that Lindsay is no longer at the facility, stating: “Ms Lohan is in violation of her probation, that much is clear.”

The US website adds that LiLo's whereabouts are currently unknown.
