Lindsay Lohan Gets Emotional On Letterman
Lindsay Lohan has discussed her forthcoming trip to rehab during an appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman on US telly.
And the 26-year-old star told the veteran chat show host that she regarded her [uuid=3e0226e1-a311-46d0-a35a-817603791cf5]court-ordered 90-day drying-out spell[/uuid] as a positive thing.
"I think to be honest I'm the happiest when I'm working, and the healthiest. I think this is an opportunity for me to focus on what I love in life. I don't think it's a bad thing. I think it's a blessing."
The troubled actress also burst into tears as she was praised by Letterman for having the courage to appear on his show and take a series of jokes about her drink-drive convictions and shoplifting allegations.
But she was disconcerted and even appeared to lose her temper briefly when Letterman pressed her on the nitty gritty of her forthcoming stint in rehab.
When asked if she had addiction issues, she replied: "Now you sound like Dr Phil."
And when asked if she should be in rehab now, she snapped: "Do you not watch anything that goes on? May 2."
She also refused to detail what substances were "on their list" in the rehab facility, telling Letterman: "We didn't discuss this in the pre-interview. I'm just saying."
Li-Lo was promoting her latest feature film, Scary Movie 5.
