Lindsay Lohan Has Written A Sequel To Mean Girls

The 30-year-old actress is desperate to play Cady Heron for a second big screen outing

Lindsay Lohan is so desperate to star in a sequel to her hit 2004 film Mean Girls that she has written a script for a follow-up movie herself.

The 30-year-old former Disney star is taking matters into her own hands and thinks she can get the original cast and crew on board for a follow up to show what Cady Heron, Regina George et all got up to after the end of the original.

"I have been trying so hard to do a Mean Girls 2," Lindsay revealed during a Facebook live session with CNN on Thursday.

"It is not in my hands. I know that Tina Fey and [producer] Lorne Michaels and all of Paramount are very busy. But I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it,” she promised.

She added that she has penned a script outline, explaining: “I have already written a treatment for it. I just need a response."

And she is sure she can get original director Mark Waters (who has experienced varied success since with box office flop Vampire Academy and more the successful Spiderwick Chronicles films) on board for a sequel too.

"I know Mark Waters, the director; he'd happily come back," Lindsay gushed.

Over to you, Tina Fey!
