Lindsay Lohan 'Hospitalised With Incurable Virus'
Actress picked up rare tropical illness on holiday at Christmas...
Lindsay Lohan is reported to have been rushed to hopsital with a rare tropical virus.
The troubled actress was taken to the King Edward VII Hospital in London with painful symptoms from the Chikungunya - which she is thought to have picked up from a mosquito bite while on holiday in Bora Bora.
Suffering from fever, joint pain and fatigue, she is claimed by TMZ to have sought treatment from the Queen's doctors at the private hospital.
And although she has now been released, she is still being treated for the incurable virus.
Her mum Dina is now reported to be flying from the US to be with her.
Li-Lo was out in French Polynesia over the festive season - and mentioned the illness on Instagram as she shared some of her holiday snaps at the time.
On one she wrote: "In good faith with good people. I refuse to let a virus effect my peaceful vacation - be safe and happy on the new year all #wildfox and a positive, healthy new year"
Although incurable, the illness is only thought to kill one-in-1,000 victims and most recover from the fever in a week or two and from joint pain within months. Some can suffer pain for several years however.
Get well soon Li-Lo!
