Lindsay Lohan has appeared in a revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey on US television - admitting that she previously lied about the extent of her drug use.
But the troubled actress now claims to have her life back to track and to be - in the words of Atomic Kitten - "whole again".
The 27-year-old went on Oprah's Next Chapter to give her first interview since [uuid=a0fdb72e-c5c0-4663-b488-57b59c91f762]her 90-day spell in rehab[/uuid] following a reckless driving court case.
Li-Lo admitted that her first arrest for driving under the influence had not given her the scare it should have, saying: "You would think in that situation, someone would be like, 'Holy s**t, I need to check myself'.
"It's the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again."
And she also admitted that she had taken cocaine more times than she had previously confessed to.
"I really haven't done it more than 10 to 15 times. Of course I said three to four [in the past]! I was terrified and humiliated. No, it never felt good the next day. It allowed me to drink more. It went hand in hand with drinking."
And Li-Lo vowed that she was determined to stay on the straight and narrow this time.
She said: "I have to regain the trust of people in my career that have their doubts, and I fully respect that. I hate that label and that title [troubled child star]. That's not what I ever aspired to be. That's not what I want in my life.
"As long as I stay honest with myself and just do the work that I'm willing to do and have been willing to do and am doing, then there's nothing that can stand in my way of that. I'm my own worst enemy, and I know that and I've been."
Li-Lo is reported to have given the interview to Oprah's network as part of a £1.3m package deal.
