Little Mix Celebrate Nickelodeon Award Win To Distract From Being Slated By Steps
The girl band have come under fire from the older pop legends
Little Mix have been celebrating a Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards to distract themselves from being slammed by reformed 90s pop band Steps.
The ladies – Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – were amazed to be honoured with the Global Music Star gong at the Nickelodeon awards on Saturday.
They took to Instagram to share their joy along with a shot of the band holding their award.
“Our very first KCA we cannot thank you guys enough for winning this for us!” the girls wrote as they thanked fans for their votes.
“You guys are the reason we do what we do.. and we hope to keep inspiring you through our music! We adore you all so bloody much!” they added.
Indeed, Jesy really couldn’t believe they’d only gone and bloody won the award.
“You only went and bloody did it!” the beauty wrote on her own Instagram feed as she thanked fans for voting her band to victory.
“Thank you so much to our incredible fans for making this happen tonight we truly are the luckiest girls in the world we love you so flippin much,” she gushed.
The celebrations come just as reformed band Steps hit out at the girls – with Faye Tozer blasting Jesy, Perrie, Jade and Leigh-Anne for being “too raunchy”.
“My little boy gets embarrassed, their new video is too raunchy for him to handle,” Faye told The Mirror – referencing her eight-year-old son Benjamin.
“I’m glad that we are from a band which is so family friendly,” the chart topper added.
