Little Mix Don't Need Men On Certified Banger 'Joan Of Arc'
Get yourself a Woman Like Joan of Arc, sis.
Little Mix have surprised us all with a brand new song today as their fifth album'LM5'goes out for pre-order and it sure is a fun one.
The interestingly titled'Joan of Arc' could hint at an empowering ballad of defiance and resillience but it's in fact one absolute no-man-needing stomper aboutindependence that is made for the clubs.
First teased back in Augustas the first taste of new music via a super-sassy car bop moment, the snippet we heard three months ago didn't give anything away.
It's not disjointed butthe songtakes a left turn at every light stop, with the girls rapping one momentthen belting out above soaring production the next.
The shapeshifting track references Cleopatra, proudly proclaims "I don't need a man", gives receipts for their self-bought jewels (yas, queens) and sounds like what 'Read U Wrote U' would be if Jesy, Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie had been the final 4 onRupaul's Drag Race All Stars 2.
"Man, I feel like Cleopatra, Joan Of Arc, Queen of Hearts /Tonight it's only me that matters," they sing, before a distorted low voice asks "Oh, you on that feminist tip?"
Making sure everybody knows the girls are claiming their feminism, the four superstars yell: "Hell yeah, I am!" Ugh, a moment. Maybe'this'is what they'll perform at the EMAs...?
As 'Woman Like Me' has only been out a few weeks, we would've thought this would exist simply as an album track that's out early for a bit of extra buzz, however there seems to be a video for it already.
The band teased a visual online last night, showingPerrie channeling the one and only -OG Feminist Pop Queen -Madonna while the others drop it down low (til ya thighs get sore).
Drop the video, girls!
