According to Hits Daily Double, the girls managed to shift a cool 50,109 copies of DNA during its first week on sale.

Wings - the first cut to be taken form the LP - was released across the pond earlier this year, with the song appearing on Glee and American Idol.

The band[uuid=809801fc-49fb-4fb9-ac5b-ac6589e670b1]previously told Seventeen magazine[/uuid] that pals 1D gave them advice when it came to cracking the US, with Leigh-Anne explaining: "I asked the boys from One Direction how to make it in America and they basically said, 'Be yourself and you can't go wrong'.

"People know when you're trying to be someone you're not. Just be true to who you are. So that's what we've been doing!"

Following their chart success, Little Mix are due to perform on Good Morning America on Friday (June 7).
