Little Mix, Stormzy And Kings Of Leon To Play Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2017

This year's festival will be taking place in Hull!

The first batch of names for Radio 1’s Big Weekend – this year taking place in 2017’s City of Culture, Hull – have been released.

Little Mix, Stormzy and Kings Of Leon are all set to perform at this year’s Big Weekend, taking place on 27 and 28 May. As ever, the festival will be completely 'free'.

More details, including other artists and ticket details, will be released over the coming weeks.

Radio 1’s Big Weekend, now in its 14th year, is Europe’s largest ticketed free festival. More than 50,000 people will be able to attend at Burton Constable Hall, with the majority of tickets being made available to people living in the Hull area.

Last year’s line-up included Mumford & Sons, Coldplay, The Weeknd, The 1975, Stormzy, Craig David and more. It took place in Powderham Castle, Kenton, near Exeter.

Alongside the festival, the BBC will once again be running the excellent Radio 1 Academy, which is a scheme aimed at people aged between 16 and 19, and offers “a variety of gigs, masterclasses and workshops to help kickstart careers in the creative industries.”
