Little Simz Is The First Independent UK Artist To Make The Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe List
Little Simz has just been named on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for Europe.
After releasing her debut album ‘A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons’ to huge critical acclaim in 2015 and having been co-signed by the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Jay Z, Little Simz has just been named on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for Europe.
The list details the 30 people under 30 years of age that a judging panel feel are the most influential within their area. Their aim is to spotlight talented people who have truly excelled within their chosen field. Featuring on the list is the likes of actress Emma Watson, tennis superstar Novak Djokovic and World Cup winning football player Thomas Mueller, whilst the likes of Adele, Hozier, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran make up some of the other musical inclusions. You can see the whole list here.
The fact that the Little Simz has been included on the list is huge credit for all the work that both she and her team have put in over the last few years. Being an independent artist can often have its benefits when it comes to creative freedoms, but not having the financial backing of a major record label can be limiting, making this achievement by Simz all the more impressive.
The UK scene has been growing rapidly and with more and more eyes and ears on our artists, the achievements will keep on coming and Little Simz should be highly commended for helping to pave the way for all UK independant musicians.
