Comedian Al Murray Is Taking On Nigel Farage At The Next Election

It’s an Al Murray vs. UKIP death match...

Al Murray, stand up comedian, TV personality and self created ‘Pub Landlord’ has decided to stand against leader of the UKIP party, Nigel Farage, in May’s general election.

The decision to try and topple Farage will come as Murray runs as MP for South Thanet, Farage’s constituency, under the newly created FUKP, which stands for Free United Kingdom Party.

As explained in this manifesto video, The Pub Landlord’s policies will include the value of the pound coin being raised to £1.10, pints of beer being reduced to 1p, and in-patients at A&E being sent to be practiced in a “random hospital department”.

Not content with a mere Youtube video, Murray's kindly strung out his manifesto in a series of eplanatory tweets on the 'party' site. Who knows where South Thanet is, and who knows whether they know who Al Murray is, but it'll be very interesting to see if they're taken by his policies enough to choose him over Nige, who has since responded with the following tweet:

The heat is on.
