Wait, What. Alex From Target Is A Fake?
Something called Breakr is claiming to have orchestrated the whole thing…
Imagine being at work and someone covertly takes a picture of you because they think you’re a slamming hotty. Your photo goes on the internet, and by the end of the day, you’ve got people all over the world tweeting about how much they want you to bear their offspring.
Said lifestyle phenomenon has just happened to 16-year-old Alex from Target, the sixth member of 5 Seconds Of Summer, whose photo of him baggin up at work had gone viral by Monday.
You’ve all seen it. He’s a cutie, no doubt, but now after an Ellen appearance and a reported spot in a Target commercial, someone’s come out to pee on his parade. Some dude who runs a company called Breakr (no relation to Grindr apparently) is claiming that they orchestrated the whole affair.
The CEO of Breakr, Dil-Domine Jacobe Leonares, wrote the following on the company’s LinkedIn page:
It seems like a case of someone trying to steal the internet's thunder, because the girl who tweeted the image originally has come out to say she has no idea what Breakr is. Fair play to her, because quite frankly, neither do we.
Either way, #alexfromtarget’s popularity grows ever stronger. We just wish we’d find someone of his aesthetic calibre in Sainsbury’s.
