A heart broken Chinese woman who was dumped by her boyfriend spent a whole week in a KFC eating chicken. Because why the hell not?

Tan Shen, 26, was depressed and decided she needed some chicken goodness to get over her ex, so stopped off at a fast food restaurant by her home.

Deciding she really 'needed time to think', Tan ended up staying there a whole week!

She even phoned in sick to work to stay with the chicken, that's how lovesick she was people.

She said: "I didn’t want to go back to my apartment because it was full of memories of him. So I stayed."

However after a few days, employees at the chicken shop began to get worried.

Worker Jiang Li Lung, 22, said: "We work in shifts here and the restaurant is open 24 hours a day, so we get a lot of people coming through."

"At first no one really noticed her. But after a few days I began thinking she looked really familiar."

"Then I realised we had been serving her for the past three days and that she hadn’t actually left."

He added: "She was after all a paying customer, even if a bit of an odd one."

Though it soon came to an abrupt end as she got sick of the taste of chicken and wasn't keen on the media attention she was beginning to receive.
