SINGLES

Nicki Minaj Ft. Drake & Lil Wayne – ‘No Frauds’, ‘Changed It’ & ‘Regret In Your Tears’

“Here @ Young Money, we don’t do diss records, we drop HIT RECORDS & diss you ON them.” Minaj, who’s brought the Young Money squad back together, is pulling no punches. Of the 'three'new tracks dropped today, the blockbuster ‘No Frauds’, a no-holds-barred response to Remy Ma, who fired off diss tracks at Nicki recently, is the highlight.

“Tried to drop ‘Another One,’ you was itchin’ to scrap/ You exposed your ghostwriter, now you wish you were scrapped,” Minaj raps in the track, with features from Drake and Lil Wayne, too.

If that wasn’t enough to chew on, ‘Changed It’ and ‘Regret In Your Tears’ are out now as well, with the latter addressing Minaj’s recent separation from Meek Mill.

Lorde – ‘Liability’

‘Baby really hurt me / Crying in the taxi’. Here’s Lorde like you’ve never heard her before. A piano song stained with tears, ‘Liability’ is a real change of pace from last week’s euphoric, dance floor-bound comeback single, ‘Green Light’.

Speaking about this new emotional territory, Lorde told Zane Lowe: “It's interesting because I had this realization that because of my lifestyle and what I do for work there’s going to be a point with every single person around me where I’m gonna be attacks on them in some way. If it is having to give up a little portion of their privacy or their life becoming more difficult or whatever. It was just this moment of sadness and I remember it so vividly.”

alt-J – ‘3WW’

alt-J are back. Featuring vocals from Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell, this mystical new single wouldn’t sound out of place in the soundtrack for a fantasy AAA open-world video game.

The instrumentation in ‘3WW’ is gorgeous. Soaring strings, delicately placed piano notes, measured guitar strokes, shivering production and more combine for a tantalising first taste from alt-J’s new album, 'RELAXER', out June 9.

Jon Bellion ft. Stormzy – ‘All Time Low’

Our MTV PUSH artist for this month, Jon Bellion, has teamed up with the man of the moment, Stormzy, for a new version of his hit single ‘All Time Low’.

Let’s all take a moment to remember when the pair first came into contact via this delightful Twitter exchange:

@Stormzy1 can I order a death bed for an MC , wait he wants beef? Lemme make that two! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

Stargate feat. P!nk and Sia – ‘Waterfall’

Stargate, the Norwegian hit-producers behind Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’, and Rihanna’s ‘Only Girl In The World’, are stepping out into the spotlight. With P!nk and Sia taking turns on the chorus, this dancehall-style new track is an earworm.

Louisa Johnson – ‘Best Behaviour’

Her last single was 'so good', but this one's even better…

Steps – ‘Scared Of The Dark’

Yep, Steps are back…and they’ve got their first album in 17 years, 'Tears on the Dancefloor', coming out this year.

ALBUMS

Charli XCX – 'Number 1 Angel'

Back in February, Charli XCX shared her frustrations with releasing a free mixtape. “You have no idea how f*cking hard it is to just release a free f*cking mixtape in 2017,” she said, “everyone’s like, what about Spotify/Apple/upsetting other majors if it's free/what if people think it's your album/what if it doesn't "do well."

Well, now that 'Number 1 Angel' is actually out, let’s make a few things crystal clear. This is a mixtape, not an album, and if this pop-commercial sound and its killer features (with MØ and MTV Brand New nominee RAYE) doesn’t “do well”, we’ll eat our shoes.

Tom Grennan - 'Release The Brakes'

Fresh from featuring on Chase & Status’ ‘All Goes Wrong’ and our MTV Brand New for 2017 shortlist, Tom Grennanhas nowreleased his latest EP.
