Ian Watkins Pleads Guilty To Child Sex Offences

Lostprophetsfrontman Ian Watkins has pleaded guilty to 13 child sex offences.
According to the BBC, the 36-year old appeared at Cardiff Crown Court today (November 26), where he pleaded guilty to attempted rape and sexual assault of a child under the age of 13.
However, the Welsh singer pleaded not guilty to rape, which was accepted by the prosecution.
Prosecuting barrister Chris Clee QC told the court: "Ian Watkins was the lead singer in a successful band called the Lostprophets. He accepts he was a determined and committed paedophile."
Watkins appeared in court alongside two female co-defendants, who cannot be named for legal reasons. They also pleaded guilty to the charges against them.
At the start of the trial, he originally denied all 24 charges. Watkins is due to be sentenced at a later date.
In October, Lostprophets confirmed that their split following Watkins' arrest - saying in a statement: "After nearly a year of coming to terms with our heartache, we finally feel ready to announce publicly what we have thought privately for some time.
"We can no longer continue making or performing music as Lostprophets. Your love and support over the past 15 years has been tremendous, and we'll be forever grateful for all you've given us."
They added: "As we look forward to the next phase of our lives, we can only hope to be surrounded by people as devoted and inspiring as you guys have been."
