Welsh rockers Lostprophets have confirmed that they've split up after frontman [uuid=938f93b9-4c03-44d1-ac4e-6c8aa9a27ea1]Ian Watkins was arrested[/uuid] on suspicion of child sex offences.

Announcing the news on their official Facebook page, the It's Not The End band stated: "After nearly a year of coming to terms with our heartache, we finally feel ready to announce publicly what we have thought privately for some time.

"We can no longer continue making or performing music as Lostprophets. Your love and support over the past 15 years has been tremendous, and we'll be forever grateful for all you've given us.

"As we look forward to the next phase of our lives, we can only hope to be surrounded by people as devoted and inspiring as you guys have been."

Watkins is due to appear in court on November 25 regarding the 23 charges, with the trial expected to last a month.
