Louis Tomlinson Reveals His Late Mum Urged Him To Reconcile With Zayn Malik
The pair infamously fell out back in May 2015.
Louis Tomlinson has revealed that his late mum, Johannah Deakin, urged him to reconcile with former One Direction member Zayn Malik before she passed away in December 2016 after a battle with leukaemia.
The pair had fallen out back in May 2015 after Zayn – who had left the band two months previously – hit out at Louis for making “bitchy comments” about his recent (and now soured) friendship with producer Naughty Boy.
In an interview with The Sun, Louis explained that one of his mum's dying wishes was for him to bury the hatchet and make amends with his old bandmate.
"My mum said, ‘You’ve got to get back in contact with Zayn. Life’s too fucking short. A mother’s intuition is just fucking crazy. It always felt supernatural to me. My mum always knew what I was feeling and what I wanted.
“I can’t stand to hold a grudge with anyone. It doesn’t sit with me right," he added. "If there is any animosity, just clear the air. I met up with him and it was nice.”
Going into detail about their friendship, he said: “I would always see the good in Zayn and also watch him shoot himself in the foot with some of his decisions, but he’s just a little misunderstood. Zayn was always good for me in the band because he was my go-to if I wanted to p**s around, lark around.
"I could always break the rules a little bit with Zayn. So after that whole thing, it was that brotherly love. We will always have that love for each other. I can’t speak on behalf of him but we really care about each other.”
Even though Zayn hasn't always been overly complimentary about his time in One Direction, it's good to see that these two still have a bond that isn't about to break any time soon.
