Simon Cowell Gives One Direction Fans Hope With This Comment About A Reunion
Now that Simon Cowell and Louis Tomlinson are working side by side on the X Factor, there’s plenty of opportunity for them to discuss if and when One Direction will make their much anticipated comeback.
The band famously went on hiatus in 2015 and have since been enjoying their respective solo careers. While the music mogul isn’t sure if they’re ready for a reunion *just* yet, he’s still convinced that they’ll hit the stage together in the future.
Hinting that Directioners have a lot to look forward to, he told The Sun: “I just think the legacy is too big not to go back to at one point. Plus they have enough songs. I didn’t realize how many hits they’ve had… When they do get back together it will be a huge event.
“But look, they’re all doing their own thing and they’re all being successful. But I have a feeling it will happen. I really do. I’d love it to happen. Individually they were all great. The group was the launchpad, but, of course, everyone would love to see them back together — even if it was just a series of concerts.”
This comes as Louis credited his former mentor with helping him through the tragic death of his mum, Johannah Deakin: “He’s one of the people I take advice from and speak to in those moments. I’m really lucky I’ve got such a good relationship with Simon.”
Tbh, we’d spend an obscene amount of money on reunion tickets. Let this happen soon.
